Board of Directors

Help Turn Trauma to Transformation: Join our Board

Innovative Rehabilitation Guided Diversion Program (IRGDP) seeks volunteers for our inaugural Board of Directors.

We are a proven, powerful nonprofit dedicated to breaking cycles of incarceration by teaching emotional awareness and self-regulation through a 12-step peer-led program. We support the most overlooked and underserved communities, empowering individuals to respond to trauma with accountability instead of violence.

Informally known as Emotional Awareness Talks, or E.A.T., this program has been building momentum inside the walls of San Quentin Rehabilitation Center where founder Harry Goodall, Jr. first developed the curriculum, in 2020. The program’s proven success—clearly demonstrated through participant outcomes—has motivated us to extend its impact beyond prison walls to reach at-risk young adults (ages 18–25) and youth (ages 14–17).

As this is our inaugural board, we are building from the ground up—and that means we need a diverse range of skills, voices, and lived experiences at the table.

We are especially seeking individuals with expertise or background in:

  • Criminal justice reform
  • Psychology or mental health
  • Education (particularly youth development or alternative education models)
  • Early-stage nonprofit leadership or development

We welcome all who feel called to this mission and are ready to help build something revolutionary where traditional approaches have fallen short and cycles of violence continue to intensify.

If you’re interested in applying—or know someone who would be a great fit—please send resume and cover letter to:
